Park Hill Neighborhood Information
The sprawling greens surrounding the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science form a beautiful landscape for the Park Hill neighborhood. First populated in 1878, Park Hill is one of Denver's most historic residential areas. Located five miles west of Denver, two miles north of Cherry Creek, and 20 miles from Denver International Airport (DIA), Park Hill is ideal for those seeking to explore the wonders of the city.
Park Hill prides itself on catering to its youth and its residents' high level of involvement. Two public libraries offer fun and educational activities for young children, and the community's youth job program pairs kids aged 12-15 with local businesses to provide a unique platform for teens to experience their first taste of the real world. The entire family can enjoy the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center, which recently underwent a $4.5 million expansion and renovation. Park Hill's numerous community activities are plentiful and often include home tours, art fairs and kid-friendly events.
Real Estate SnapshotPark Hill is divided into three regions: South Park Hill, North Park Hill and Northeast Park Hill. South Park Hill real estate includes gorgeous Tudors, classic bungalows and newly constructed treasures such as Craftsman style homes. North Park Hill homes are moderately priced and include a variety of brick ranches and bungalows. Northeast Park Hill presents the most affordable real estate opportunities. Collectively, Park Hill prices generally range from the high $200,000's to several million dollars, primarily depending on the location within the community.
