Five Points
Five Points Neighborhood Information
Founded in the 1860’s, Five Points is one of Denver's oldest residential neighborhoods and rich in heritage. Victorian homes are intermingled with luxury lofts. Location is about a mile northeast of downtown Denver. Denver’s Regional Transportation District’s light rail line runs through Five Point’s making it eco-friendly destination.
Once considered the “Harlem of the West”, the Five Points neighborhood was graced with regular performances from jazz musician greats like Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington.
Today, the Stiles African American Heritage Center is a favorite attraction, providing knowledgeable insight to attendees. Annually, the Juneteenth festival is celebrated, with attendance normally at 100,000.
