Congress Park Neighborhood Information
From Bungalows to Victorians; Congress Park, located from 6th to Colfax and York to Colorado is one of Denver’s most well known and loved neighborhoods.
A big draw to the area is the many recreational amenities that Congress Park itself brings: baseball, swimming, tennis courts, and soccer fields. On a typical day in “the park” you will see local kids walking to practice, joggers, and families enjoying one of the more than 300 days of sunshine that Denver brings.
With families, young professionals, and long time residents occupying the neighborhood, recent years have seen a resurgence of restoration and extensive landscaping of the older historic homes. Also available are the Art Deco style apartment buildings and “Denver Square” type of homes. These are typically 2 stories, 3-4 bedroom homes with mission style looks that became popular in the early 1900’s with the up and coming middle class.
With a move to Congress Park, you will be pleased to have the Denver Zoo, Denver Botanic Gardens, Museums, and Cherry Creek shopping area at your doorstep. Some local favorites for dining include the Barolo Grill and Truffle where you will find a variety of outstanding fresh foods. Sprinkled throughout Congress Park are local florists, antique markets, and gardens galore!
