City Park Neighborhood Information
Built in 1880 and listed in the National register of historic places, City Park in Denver is home to more than 200 residents. City Park is considered to be a low population neighborhood due to the fact that 300+ acres are part of the park itself. Home to the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Gates Planetarium, and IMAX Theater, residents have access to some of the best attractions in the state.
The City Park area falls between York Street (to the West), Colorado Boulevard (to the East), 23rd Avenue (to the North) and Colfax Avenue (to the South). As part of the population expansion of the area, City Park will provide custom condominiums with incredible views. Currently, the area is made up of a combination of Denver “four squares”, ranch style, Victorian, mission style homes. Also available are condominiums and apartments.
The highlight of the area is the park itself which is home to a public golf course, playgrounds, fountains, gardens, and a pavilion (with a bandstand and snack bar) adjacent to Ferril Lake. Another bonus is the eclectic restaurants such as Mezcal which provides classic Mexican food and Tommy Thais which has great Pad Thai at great prices. City Park is an excellent location for those vibrant young families wanting access to city attractions, open space, and the quick drive into the city.
