About Denver
Street Corner in Denver
Denver and Suburban Neighborhoods
Here is an extremely generic breakdown of typical lifestyle preferences by county:

Arapahoe County, located in between Denver to the north, and Douglas County to the south, offers a wide price range in single family and executive types of homes. Communities include Centennial, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Littleton, Cherry Hills Village, and South Aurora. Cherry Creek and Littleton School Districts offer some of the top-ranked schools in the State. Excellent school systems, combined with an incredible park system and the proximity to the Cherry Creek Reservoir, make Arapahoe County a frequent destination for families.

Denver County offers the biggest selection of diversity in terms of home and neighborhood styles. The young and young at heart enjoy the vitality of city living in Ball Park, Golden Triangle and Riverfront Park which primarily offers condo, flats, brownstones and penthouses. Singles, couples and families enjoy the similarly urban experience offered in Curtis Park, Five Points, Capitol Hill, Congress Park, Chessman Park, Uptown and City Park. The newer and redeveloped areas of Stapleton and Lowry are perfect for those who want a newer style home and still enjoy the convenience to Denver. The Highlands, Park Hill, Mayfair, Baker, Platt Park and Washington Park usually attract people who take pleasure in outdoor activities and also prefer easy access to neighborhood restaurants, shops and boutiques. Belcaro, Cherry Creek, Polo Club, Denver Country Club, Cory-Merrill, Hill Top, Observatory Park offer the amenities of the former, although these neighborhoods typically command much higher home prices. University Park and Wellshire have homes that span the gamut.

Douglas County is located to the south of both Denver and Arapahoe Counties. This is another area with top-ranked schools, is extremely community oriented, and child friendly. Parker (which lays in the Eastern most portion of the county), Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch and Castle Pines North all offer everything from tract style to custom homes. Castle Pines Village is an exclusive gated community nestled in pine trees. Castle Rock is a charming town with an old-time feel and offers both older and newer construction in a variety of price points. People who live in Douglas County typically commute to the Denver Tech Center or use the light-rail system to downtown Denver.
