Located in the heart of the city is the Denver Performing Arts Complex. This includes Boettcher Concert Hall which is the nation’s first “in the round” symphony venue providing patrons with wonderful seating at any price. Also part of the complex is the Buell Theater which hosts travelling Broadway shows, musicals, plays and comedy acts.
Following a wonderful night of entertainment, concert goers can dine at a variety of restaurants ranging from the ultimate in dining to the corner bistro. Many of the dining options are just steps from the theater.
New to the city in October of 2007, is the Museum of Contemporary Art. What is unique to this venue is the constant rotation of innovative and creative art, which provides a new experience every time you visit. MCA Denver provides a live art/lecture hall, education hall, and various spaces for commissioned art and special projects.
The Denver Art Museum, located in the heart of the city, is the largest museum between Chicago and the West Coast. Famous for its American Indian Art, it also houses collections of Asian architecture, painting and sculpture, design and graphics, and more. Temporary and travelling exhibitions vary. A favorite for the child inside all of is the Children’s Museum of Denver. You and your family can spend the day interacting with over 10 innovative “playscapes”. This is a wonderful teaching tool and provides families with a much needed “kids day out” on those cold winter days.
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science provides the region’s leading resource of science education. Located just east of City Park, many families chose to purchase the year pass and frequent the venue throughout the year.
